AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

Air Source Heat Pumps

An air source heat pump (sometimes called an air-to-water heat pump) transfers heat from the outside air to water. This process heats rooms in your home via radiators or underfloor heating. Additionally, it can heat water stored in a hot water cylinder for your hot taps, showers, and baths. Essentially, it’s an energy efficient way to warm your home and provide hot water by utilizing the heat available in the ambient air.

Air Source Heat Pumps

An air source heat pump is a complete domestic heating and hot water system. It represents a flexible and cost-effective alternative to a fossil fuel boiler, with, in some instances, a cooling option. Air source heat pumps are classed as renewable technology, because they extract heat from a renewable source - the air around us! In one year the energy sent to the earth by the sun is 50 times higher than the total consumption of energy on our planet. This makes the sun a vast and inexhaustible source of energy.
